RCA began rerecording repertory with the advent of stereo,\u00a0 producing the LP that contained both Schubert&#8217;s 2nd, and excerpts from Beethoven&#8217;s &#8220;Prometheus&#8221; ballet music.. Munch&#8217;s traversal of Schubert&#8217;s youthful symphony is big-boned but detailed. The &#8220;Prometheus&#8221; excerpts glow with Munch&#8217;s special genius in interpreting Beethoven.
